— Damien to Dwight

Damien Lord is the multi-millionaire husband of Ava Lord. He lives at the Lord Mansion. Manute was in his employ and also had some business with Wallenquist; although Lord's dislike to extralegal operation did not satisfy him.

A Dame To Kill For

Ava wanted to kill her husband so she asked Dwight to reconcile with her as her new life is a living hell with him. Dwight decided to check out with the Lords with his photographic equipment; however he was caught by Manute wandering in the Mansion. Damien sees Dwight and lets Manute torture him.

Dwight sought out Marv at Kadie's and convinces him to help him storm Damien's estate. During the operation, Marv ran interference and fought with Manute.

Dwight confronted Lord one more time and beat him to death. Ava was there and explained how Dwight was all a part of her plan to get Damien murdered so she could inherit his estate. The murder was investigated by officers Mort and Bob.
